Tạp chí U.S News and World Report vừa đưa ra xếp hạng đại học năm 2013 như sau:

Chương trình Khoa học máy tính của CMU được xếp hạng # 1; Ngôn ngữ lập trình cũng được xếp hạng # 1, Trí tuệ nhân tạo được xếp hạng # 2, Kĩ nghệ hệ thống được xếp hạng # 3; và lí thuyết tính toán được xếp hạng # 5.

Hai chương trình CMU:  quản lí công nghệ và thông tin và trao đổi đa phương tiện trực quan đã giữ xếp hạng số một của họ trong U.S. News & World Report’s 2013.  Cả hai chương trình này đã được xếp hạng #1 năm 2009, lần cuối U.S. News & World Report xếp hạng các chương trình này trong các phân loại này.

Kĩ nghệ của CMU được xếp hạng 7 toàn thể, hạng 4 trong kĩ nghệ máy tính, hạng 7 trong cả kĩ nghệ điện và môi trường, hạng 11 trong cả kĩ nghệ dân sự và kĩ nghệ cơ khí, hạng 14 trong kĩ nghệ khoa học vật liệu (được gắn với đại học Purdue University) và kĩ nghệ hoá học, và xếp thứ 27 trong kĩ nghệ y sinh (gắn với Harvard University).

Chương trình trường kinh doanh của CMU được xếp hạng 18 tổng thể và chương trình MBA được xếp hạng 12. Nó xếp hạng 2 trong quản lí hệ thông tin, hạng 4 trong quản lí sản xuất/vận hành, hạng 8 trong dây chuyền cung cấp/hậu cần, hạng 18 trong tài chính và hạng 21 trong nghề doanh nghiệp.

CMU rank # 1 again

U.S News and World Report magazine just releases the university ranking for 2013 as follow:

CMU’s Computer Science program was ranked # 1st; Programming language was also ranked # 1st, Artificial Intelligence was ranked # 2nd, System Engineering was ranked # 3rd; and Computing theory was ranked # 5th.

Two CMU programs:  information and technology management and multimedia/visual communications  have held on to their number one ranking in U.S. News & World Report’s 2013.  Both programs were ranked #1 in 2009, the last time U.S. News & World Report rated programs in these categories.

CMU’s Engineering was rated 7th overall, 4th in computer engineering, 7th in both electrical and environmental engineering, 11th in both civil engineering and mechanical engineering, 14th in materials science engineering (tied with Purdue University) and chemical engineering, and 27th in biomedical engineering (tied with Harvard University).

CMU School of Business program ranked 18th overall and its MBA program ranked 12th. It ranked 2nd in information systems management, 4th in production/operations management, 8th in supply chain/logistics, 18th in finance and 21st in entrepreneurship.
